Topic 3 Weekly Reflection: Blog Post

I used iMovie to add sound effects, and H5P to add text at the beginning and end.

Describe how you could use video or audio editing as the assignment medium for the subject and grade level you will be teaching (if at all), and what you could do to make the assignment as engaging as possible.

Because my teachable is art, I very much predict I will teach videography and digital media classes at some point. Basic editing software and video making is an amazing way to lets students tell their own story in a way that is extremely personalized and exaggerated to match them. To make this assignment as engaging as possible, I may offer a pairing with an acting element or allow for it to be a group project. I do recognize that some students may be at a disadvantage due to not having the materials they need to work at home, so this may be a week long in class project where the students have access to me for help.

Reflections on whether you think including H5P tools would potentially be a useful tool at the grade level you hope to teach (or not).

While I can understand how HP5 tools would be very helpful in some classes, I believe an in art class, in person demonstrations remain most important. When speaking in class, we talked about how it is not the most user friendly, however the ability to input polls etc. into videos is something we have not seen elsewhere and that is an elect where I believe H5P is most useful!
